Lynn's Corner.
We would love to have parents
join us for school liturgy this Friday at 9 a.m. We will also be
taking up a children's collection during the mass. All proceeds from
our school collections are given to St. Vincent de Paul Society for support
of the poor.
Remember--noon dismissal for
Teacher workday this Friday, 9/3. After School care available, but
students must bring lunch from home!
Please consider
buying a ticket to our Annual Community Life Center Reverse Drawing. A
$100 ticket entitles you to two steak dinners at Steak Barn and a chance to
win $4000! The dinner and drawing are Friday night, 9/10. Tickets
available in the school office.
The Annual Fall Festival is
coming soon--Saturday, October 2. Many teachers have started asking
for donations for the classroom baskets, and for help putting baskets
together. Please help the school make this another successful Festival
by sending your donations in quickly and by planning to join us during the
day on the 2nd of October for games and terrific food.
School volunteers
needed in LOTS of areas--the lunchroom, recess, classrooms, clerical
assistance--send Mrs. Magoon an email indicating your interests and
availability if you would like to volunteer at SMS...and we will be calling
on you!
Right now we
are still looking for the following volunteers~
1. Tardies each morning--we need volunteers from 8:15 - 8:30 each
morning to write tardy slips at the office; sign up for one or more
mornings.
2. Lunch help from 11 - 12:45 each day--help distribute lunch, sell
milk and supervise lunches in the cafeteria. Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday need volunteers
3. Assist teachers and office with running off papers and preparing
student folders to take home--time is flexible
4. Assistant soccer coaches for several teams--call for more
information
5. Volunteer substitute--able to supervise a classroom for several
hours as needed (background check required at school expense).
